Summary:
Th e Senior Engineering Manage r will have project responsibilities for well connects and regional projects comprised of crude oil gathering and produce d water midstream infrastructure within New Mexico and West Texas . This role will directly manage a port folio of multiple projects .
In addition to project execution responsibilities, this position will have management responsibilities of direct reports that include Project Engineering, Construction Management, and support staff roles who manage capital projects .
Th e Senior Engineering Manager will report to the Project Director and will provide leadership, coaching, and direction to Engineers and Construction Managers .
The role will ensure design and construction of projects in compliance with applicable regulation , codes, and SOP's as well as meeting the needs of internal and external customers.
This role will require responsibility and accountability for successful project capture and execution to support the Partnership's growth efforts.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage a portfolio of multiple projects for internal and external customers at geographically diverse locations .
- Direct engineering support services through the application of engineering expertise , problem solving, and good working knowledge of related engineering projects.
- Manage and direct resources to engineer , procure , construct and commission midstream asset development projects . Manage and distribute workload among team members.
- Provide leadership and direction to team including training, coaching and mentorship to new and existing team members.
- Lead a team of engineers that prepares and reviews design and construction packages as well as material specifications for capital projects including LACTs , pumps, tanks pig traps , valves, and piping.
- Ensure coordination with key stakeholders including Commercial, Operations, other Engineering disciplines, Right-of-Way, and contractors assuring all project work is performed in a timely manner , with minimal disruption.
- Assure all safety procedures and policies are communicated and enforced with contractors. Ensure work is compliant with federal, state, and local regulations (including safety, environmental and DOT) and internal policies and procedures.
Requirements:
Education and/or Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. The requirements for this position are listed below:
- BS Engineering degree (Mechanical, Civil, Chemical, Electrical, Petroleum).
10+ years of relevant work experience required.- 15 years of engineering experience in oil and gas , preferably in Midstream, preferred.
- 1 0 years of Midstream project management experience preferred.
- 5 years of direct management preferred.
- Proven track record managing multiple activities and priorities within fast - track schedules .
- Demonstrated urgency in advancing projects to support objectives .
- Strong communication and team building skills .
- Strong computer skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Engineering degree (Mechanical, Civil, Chemical, Electrical, Petroleum).
Special Considerations:
- Travel required as needed to support projects and other initiatives .
Working Conditions:

- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time due to prolonged periods of sitting or standing.
- Occasional overnight travel may be required .
- Occasional visits to industrial/manufacturing settings, which may include exposure to various materials and chemicals, as well as extreme temperature conditions and loud machinery, and require appropriate personal protective equipment.
