Job Description
Senior Event Service Manager


We are seeking a Senior Event Service Manager to join our team at Anaheim - 1855 South Harbor Blvd Holdings LLC. Reporting directly to the Director of Catering and Event Services and the Director of Sales and Marketing, this role is responsible for planning, detailing, and executing special events, meetings, and conferences for groups secured by the sales and catering team. The ideal candidate will have experience in full-service hotels, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for delivering exceptional event experiences.

What will you do?
Event Planning & Execution:

Conduct detailing calls and in-person site visits with clients.
Coordinate menu tastings and oversee event logistics.
Create and distribute event orders and group resumes for all sales bookings.
Plan and implement special events, meetings, and conferences.
Work closely with Banquets and AV teams to ensure seamless execution.
Inspect event spaces to ensure client needs are met.

Client Relations & Sales Support:

Serve as the primary contact for event clients, ensuring a high level of customer service.
Handle contract negotiations and vendor service agreements.
Upsell food, beverage, and additional services to maximize revenue.
Meet and greet onsite contacts, ensuring smooth event operations.

Team & Vendor Coordination:

Communicate event details with department heads and key staff.
Organize and lead Pre- and Post-Event meetings.
Attend bi-weekly F&B meetings and monthly promotional meetings.
Ensure all employees provide friendly, courteous, and professional service.

Administrative & Compliance:

Maintain organized sales files and ensure compliance with hotel policies.
Oversee group room blocks, finalize billing, and process event payments.
Complete required system training as per department guidelines.
Adhere to food handling, alcohol awareness, CPR, and first aid certifications as applicable.

About you:
Experience:
Previous experience in event services within a full-service hotel is required.
Strong background in event planning, contract negotiation, and vendor management.

Skills & Qualifications:
Highly organized and detail-oriented with excellent time management.
Strong knowledge of Marriott corporate standards and CITY knowledge is a plus.
Ability to upsell and maximize event revenue.
Proficiency in event management software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Flexibility:
Must be available to work varying schedules, including weekends and evenings, based on event needs.
