As aLead Project Engineer, you will be part of our Valve and Start System team driving achievement of performance within Honeywell Aerospace. You will be integral in the design, analysis, and testing of pneumatic and electro-mechanical systems and components used on commercial, defense, and next generation aircraft applications. You will be involved in every aspect of the systems life cycle, from the front-end requirements development to system verification, production support, and supplier technical support.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Technical and programmatic leadership for valve, air turbine start system, or high-temp coatings products
- Project management performance and execution
- Cost, schedule, and milestone development/management
- Earned Value Management System (EVMS)
- Risk (threats/opportunities) development and management
- Internal/External Customer technical communication and relationships
- Understanding of pneumatic valves or air turbine start systems technology
- Metric development/reporting
- Hardware supplier technical communication/interface
- Technical problem solving/Root cause analysis
- Technical documentation Test plans, procedures, and reports
- Analysis of test data results
- Assess customer requirements documentation
- Assess regulatory requirements
- Design validation through build and test execution
- Proposal development support of estimation of resources and schedule
- Internal and external coordination

YOU MUST HAVE
- Bachelors degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics.
- Minimum 7+ years of applied engineering experience.

- Validation and Verification (V&V)/Development and Qualification Testing experience
