Summary:

Oversees maintenance reliability program to review maintenance data and implement preventive programs to provide increased station up-time and support operations.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Manages equipment analysts, emissions technicians, and mechanical & controls specialists
  • Manages major warranty issues associated with compressor packages
  • Analyzes performance of engines and compressors through efficiency studies
  • Build/maintain engine database for regulatory purposes and runtime reporting
  • Assists implementation and training for maintenance scheduling through EAM.
  • Oversees Critical Spare Parts Inventory
  • Schedule and implement training to keep up with new technology being installed
  • Oversees lube oil program
  • Coordinates and tracks failure analysis
  • Overhaul Management- Makes recommendations to operational groups on order of importance based on performance analysis, hours of operation, and lube oil analysis.

Required experience:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • 8+ years in mechanical analysis techniques.
  • Possess a thorough knowledge of operations and maintenance of engines, gas turbines, centrifugal and reciprocating compressors (high and low speed).
  • Above average hardware and software computer skills are necessary to support the equipment in the field that is being utilized to gather the information for trending evaluation.
  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and excellent human relations skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of Company procedures and Industry-related safety standards, and applicable Federal and State regulations.
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills.
  • Experience in administering Company-wide programs.
  • Above average analytical skills are needed to identify, evaluate machinery performance and condition levels utilizing the condition Monitoring System.
  • Ability to work effectively with others in a team environment.
  • Knowledge and be familiar with Operating, DOT and EPA Procedures, Engineering Standards, OSHA, and Safety practices and routine administrative duties.
  • Must be highly motivated and able to work with minimum supervision.
  • Possess a desire to advance individual skills (Mechanical) as assigned/required by team within team defined deadlines.
  • Computer skills, familiarity with O & M and Capital budgets. Good communication skills with both internal and external customers

Working Conditions:

  • Lifting up to 50 lbs. occasionally
  • Driving, walking, and standing frequently
  • Exposure to adverse weather, cramped conditions and some heavy lifting
  • Visits to industrial/manufacturing settings, which may include exposure to various materials and chemicals, as well as extreme temperature conditions and loud machinery, and require appropriate personal protective equipment
  • Occasional overnight travel may be required
