Key Job Responsibilities
Design and Development:
8+ years’ experience designing wheel motors for off-highway vehicles.
Utilize CAD software to create detailed design specifications and drawings.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure designs meet performance, safety, and cost requirements.
Testing and Validation:
Conduct simulations and physical tests to validate motor performance.
Analyze test data and make necessary design adjustments.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Project Management:
Manage project timelines and deliverables.
Coordinate with suppliers and manufacturers to source components.
Oversee the production and assembly of prototypes.
Technical Support:
Strong background in gearing and bearing concepts.
Provide technical support to manufacturing and service teams.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to wheel motor performance.
Prepare technical documentation and reports.
Qualifications/Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
Experience: Previous experience in motor design, preferably in the off-highway vehicle industry.
Skills:

The Komatsu North America Mining Distribution and Service group is a critical part of our Komatsu global organization. We, sell, install, service, provide parts and rebuild equipment, as well as provide digital solutions for our customers.
