Expected salary range of $144,900 to 161,000, varies based on experience, along with comprehensive benefits package that includes bonus and 401(k).
PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION
Provide governance and oversight of the Constellation nuclear fleet to obtain maximum value from purchased insurance coverage. This includes compliance to minimum insurability requirements, assessing cost/benefit of coverage options, managing the impact of premium increases due to penalties and credits, minimizing risk for losses within Constellation and protecting Constellation interests from external losses of other mutual Nuclear Electric Insurance Limited (NEIL) members and American Nuclear Insurers (ANI) insureds for the nuclear power industry
PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Promote Constellation interests as NEIL, Engineering Advisory Committee (EAC) Representative with voting rights to maximize insurance value.
- Serve in leadership roles of NEIL Advisory Committees and ANI Insurance Advisory Committee.
- Provide fleet support and guidance to address issues that represent insurance coverage/cost/risk implications (e.g. Shall Recommendations, Should Observations, Variance Requests, Adverse Condition Reporting, Fire System Impairment notifications, etc.)
- Assess fleet wide ANI & NEIL compliance performance indicators, identify common positive/negative areas and provide recommended actions that maximize value to Constellation.
- Participate in NEIL Property and Accidental Outage Site Evaluations and ANI Liability Loss Control Inspections to support compliance, establish point of contacts and assess best individual practices to leverage across the Constellation Clean Energy Centers.
- Conduct fleet NEIL Plant and Corporate contact peer calls to promote communications, sharing of lessons learned, leverage best practices, and improve overall performance.
- Brief Constellation Leadership on matters important to insurance coverage.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or an equivalent technical field
- 8 years of Nuclear Power technical experience
- 5 years of exposure in the NEIL and/or ANI area
- Nuclear insurance experience (i.e. NEIL or ANI)
- Good communication skills
- Nuclear power plant experience
- Industry insurance experience
