Job Summary
Goosehead is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manager for their Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team. In this role, you will support the Senior Director in leading the FP&A function, providing high-quality strategic financial analysis, forecasting, and decision support to the business.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Lead the FP&A function alongside the Senior Director, overseeing budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis processes to support strategic decision-making and business planning.
Oversee the development and maintenance of financial models and dashboards to analyze historical performance, forecast future trends, and evaluate business opportunities.
Oversee the collaboration with cross-functional teams to understand business drivers, key performance indicators (KPIs), and market dynamics, providing insights and recommendations to Senior Director and senior leadership.
Oversee the preparation and presentation of financial reports, variance analysis, and key insights to the Senior Director and senior leadership, highlighting areas of opportunity and risk.
Drive process improvement and automation initiatives within the FP&A function, leveraging Snowflake, Alteryx, Tableau, and PowerBI to streamline data collection, analysis, and reporting.
Partner with IT and data engineering teams to optimize data infrastructure and integration processes, ensuring accuracy and reliability of financial data.
Mentor and develop junior members of the FP&A team, providing guidance on financial modeling, data analysis techniques, and best practices.
Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in finance and analytics, continuously enhancing skills and knowledge in data structuring and visualization tools, and financial analysis techniques.
Lead special projects and ad hoc analyses as required by Senior Director and senior leadership, providing actionable insights and recommendations to support strategic initiatives.
Experience and Education
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field. MBA or advanced degree preferred.
Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in financial planning & analysis, with at least 3 years in a managerial or leadership role.
Required Skills and Abilities
Demonstrated experience in data and process transformation, with the ability to effectively oversee the timely and successful execution of initiatives.
Advanced knowledge of financial concepts, accounting principles, and corporate finance principles.
Proven ability to develop complex financial models and perform sophisticated financial analysis to support decision-making.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to distill complex financial information into clear, actionable insights for senior leadership.
Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing FP&A team.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities and stakeholders effectively.
