Carnegie Mellon University (CMU) in Qatar seeks applicants for a one-year visiting position in Information Systems beginning in Fall, 2023 (1st August 2023). The primary responsibility for this visiting position is for teaching (2 undergraduate IS courses per semester) and making research/scholarly contributions to the educational mission of the Information Systems (IS) program. The IS program at Carnegie Mellon is world-renowned for its contributions to practice and teaching. The branch campus closely follows the admissions requirements and English language curriculum of the home campus, which awards all degrees. This position is a visiting position at the assistant/associate professor rank. It offers a one-year opportunity to contribute to the university?s teaching, research, and scholarly mission in the Qatar campus. There is no expectation of extension for this visiting opportunity. The position presents opportunities for collaboration with academics and industry throughout the region. Teaching load is typically two classes per semester. Faculty are also expected to engage in research and/or other activities that contribute to the field or to society at large. This could include the opportunity to supervise independent studies by undergraduate IS students.
