Student Services Specialist (2 Positions Available) | University of Nebraska Lincoln - Military Veterans

Requisition Number: S_250100 Department: Husker Hub-10701 Description of Work: Position counsels prospective and currently enrolled undergraduate, graduate and professional students regarding enrollment, scholarships and the various federal, state, and institutional financial aid programs offered through the University, student billing and student payment services in person, by phone, and through written correspondence. This position will be housed in Husker Hub, the One Stop Office for student services, and will work closely with the functional offices, Admissions, University Registrar, Scholarships and Financial Aid, Student Accounts, and the Bursar's Office. This position will participate in recruitment activities both on and off campus including but not limited to daily campus visits, Red Letter Days, admit receptions, diversity and honors events, admit receptions, or high school visits. This position may require some travel. Evening and/or weekend hours may be required during events. May 2025 graduates considered. Preferred Qualifications: Prefer experience in a college or university financial aid office or comparable setting. Computer proficiency with word processing, spreadsheets, databases and presentation software helpful. Public speaking experience desirable. Bilingual specifically in Spanish Posted Salary: $18.75/hr minimum Job Type: Full-Time
