Job Description

HII Mission Technologies Division's Fighters and Advanced Aircraft and Bombers Team seeks a senior-level System Cybersecurity Analyst ready to make an immediate impact in the development and integration of communications, navigation, weapons delivery, and propulsion system modifications on world-class Department of Defense/United States Air Force Fighter and Bomber Aircraft. The System Cybersecurity Analyst is part of a team providing expertise and technical management support to acquisition program managers. This individual will be responsible for following Risk Management Framework (RMF) Assessment and Authorization (A&A) processes for weapon systems that will generate unclassified and classified data. As part of this process, the applicant will develop, coordinate, and maintain all documentation required for A&A packages in achieving an Interim Approval to Test and an Authority to Operate as required by the acquisition program.

The applicant will develop the cybersecurity assessment required in support of the Command's Platform Information Technology system acquisition and/or modifications. Additionally, they will be responsible for reviewing supporting program documentation such as, but not limited to: Information Support Plans, Concepts of Operation, System Requirements Documents, Initial Capabilities Documents, Program Protection Plans, and Capabilities Description Documents.

Essential Job Responsibilities

  • Experience in Department of Defense and/or United States Air Force acquisition programs and cybersecurity is required
  • Experience conducting A&A activities under the DoD RMF
  • Candidate must be self-motivated and experienced to perform with little supervision
  • Candidate should have a demonstrated technical understanding aircraft communications, navigation, and other aviation related information systems
  • Must have strong analytical skills and the ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing with internal and external customers


Minimum Qualifications

  • 9 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 7 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 4 years relevant experience with PhD in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 13 years relevant experience.
    • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or another Cybersecurity-related discipline plus 9 years relevant experience; or
    • Masters Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or another Cybersecurity-related discipline plus 7 years relevant experience
  • Relevant experience is defined as performance of Cybersecurity-related activities on a Department of Defense system or on a Communications, Navigation, or other aircraft system
  • Secret-level security clearance minimum at the time of application with the ability to obtain a TS-level security clearance
  • The candidate must be self-motivated, able to work in a team, willing to learn new concepts and processes, and able to take constructive criticism and adapt/learn from mistakes
  • The candidate must be able to works independently and in a team to create quality products on time
  • The candidate must be able to communicate clearly and effectively verbally and in writing
  • The candidate must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office products such as Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Work will primarily be performed in an office setting sitting at a computer workstation or conference room. Occasional travel to equipment manufacturers facilities and weapon system user facilities may be required.
