ASRC Federal Agile Decision Sciences LLC, is seeking a qualified Cloud Network Engineer candidate to support our SEC customer at APG, Maryland.

Cloud Network Engineer

As we continue to enhance our IT infrastructure and software capabilities, we are seeking highly skilled professionals to join our team in various key roles. Each position plays a crucial part in maintaining and advancing our environment, ensuring seamless operations and robust support for CECOM personnel worldwide.

Position Description: This position supports Cloud Storage efforts under ASRC Federal's CECOM SETA Support within the PEO EIS MSP. The PEO EIS MSP ensures that the U.S. Army's cloud storage infrastructure is secure, scalable, and efficient. As a Network Engineer Journeyman II (Cloud Storage Senior), you will be responsible for supporting the planning, design, and maintenance of cloud storage architectures, as well as providing guidance on automation and compliance within government-designated Cloud Service Providers (CSP) such as AWS, MS Azure, IBM, and Oracle.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or another Engineering or Technical discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as an AWS Cloud administrator.
  • 5 years of experience in the execution and oversight of local network and cloud architecture, cloud software engineering, cloud security, cloud systems engineering, and cloud network engineering within government-designated Cloud Service Providers (CSP).
  • Experience supporting and completing Defense Information System Agency (DISA) Cloud Access Points (CAP).
  • Experience developing automation for routine cloud activities, including cloud environment instantiation, application of DISA STIGs, software installation, software patching, software updates, backups, restores, and security scans.
  • Experience producing system architecture documentation, configuration documentation, and software documentation for all developed work products.
  • Experience evaluating operating environments and assisting the government in obtaining Authority to Operate (ATO) under the DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF) by producing supporting documentation and providing IA expertise.
  • Certifications: DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II and CCNA.
  • Federal Investigative Standards: TIER 5.
  • Active DoD Secret security clearance required at time of onboarding.

Required Skills:
  • Proficiency in AWS Cloud administration and AWS services.
  • Proficiency in managing EC2 servers, AMIs, restores, and backups.
  • Proficiency in configuring and monitoring AWS CloudWatch for resource metrics, logs, and alarms.
  • Knowledge of AWS Security Hub for centralized security findings and compliance checks.
  • Proficiency in managing AWS storage services (e.g., S3, EBS, EFS).
  • Familiarity with AWS Detective for threat detection and investigation.
  • Experience with AWS Backup for automated backups and retention policies.
  • Experience with AWS Systems Manager for patch management, automation, and compliance.
  • AWS or other applicable Technical Certification.

Desired Skills:
  • Knowledge of DoD security requirements and compliance (STIG/ACAS).
  • Knowledge of ERP SAP environments.
  • Understanding of AWS AppStream for application streaming and delivery.
  • Working knowledge of DevSecOps.
  • Experience working in an Agile Framework environment.
