This includes collaborating with internal and external partners to assess, acquire, maintain and ensure the seamless delivery of clinical education, including both curriculum and clinical environments, to students. The Director will also be responsible for developing, advancing, and evaluating the impact of clinical initiatives as they relate to students and curriculum. Position Responsibilities: Responsible for leading, planning, and directing the programs and operations of the specified division in accordance with OHIO and Heritage College policies. Supervise, train, and evaluate administrative staff, including subordinate managers and classified staff. Formulate processes to ensure streamlined and effective operations with internal and external partners, and facilitate ongoing communication with all constituents. In conjunction with the Cleveland campus Dean and the Office of Medical Education, coordinate activities, communications, and partner relationships specific to the Cleveland Division. Serve as the lead Division Director for system processes related to the management of staffing and student ratios, remote student management, administrative support coordination, and learning management system ( LMS ) lottery assignment of schedules, ensuring the optimal use of system resources tailored to the Cleveland Division's needs. Plan, coordinate, and manage central and system-wide activities for the Office of Clinical Education, distinctive to the Cleveland campus, including system-wide faculty and staff meetings, curricular activities, and student events. Oversee the coordination of quality-directed student educational programming within a division of the Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine ( HCOM ), ensuring students make satisfactory progress toward meeting curricular requirements. Recommend actions for students facing professional and/or academic difficulties. Provide strategic direction for clinical education programming for all students, including orientation and didactics. Develop strategic initiatives and offer guidance and counseling to students. Contribute to the operational plans of the Office of Clinical Education. Collect and analyze data to set strategies and objectives that align with the overall goals of the college and university, and measure outcomes for performance achievements. Foster a culture of consistency and accountability, with ownership of ongoing functions such as system solutions, calendars and timelines, communication plans, professional development, and process improvement. Develop and manage the division's budget and business plans in collaboration with other divisions and the broader system. Collaborate with Heritage College senior leadership on the development, communication, and implementation of the college's vision and plan. Negotiate with key stakeholders to develop relationships with administrators and physicians, establishing, recruiting, and expanding placement opportunities for Heritage College students to meet curricular requirements for graduation. Maintain and strengthen existing relationships with preceptors, hospitals, healthcare centers, and other service delivery points. Offers outside of this range of subject to additional approvals.
