The Fund Finance team provides fund-level financing to private equity funds and other asset managers through structured credit facilities. Fund Finance is part of the Corporate and Investment Bank (CIB). Team members support our focus on building strong customer relationships balanced with a strong risk mitigation and compliance-driven culture that firmly establishes those disciplines as critical to the success of our customers and company.
The Analyst role is available specifically on the Loan Syndications team within the Fund Finance Group.
Loan Syndications
The Loan Syndications team within Fund Finance is responsible for arranging syndicated credit facilities. The Loan Syndications team partners with Fund Finance bankers to support deal origination and structuring efforts as well as develop and execute the distribution strategy. The Analyst will be a key member of a lean deal team, supporting senior team leaders on all aspects of the syndication process including lender outreach and deal execution. The Analyst will be expected to develop an understanding of the fund finance market, lender universe and market dynamics over time. He or she will develop and maintain relationships with internal banking partners as well as syndicate lenders. The Analyst must be able to communicate effectively and work collaboratively.
Day-to-day job responsibilities include: - Preparation of customized syndication materials including transaction summaries, lender presentations, and execution timelines;
- Create and maintain external data sites for deal syndication and post-close transaction amendments;
- Support senior team members with lender engagement, including participation in lender calls / meetings, sharing notes with the broader team;
- Liaise with deal team to address lender credit inquiries and diligence requirements related to and KYC/AML;
- Track and report syndication activity across Fund Finance;
- Prepare internal presentation materials related to syndication activity across the portfolio;
- Work closely with deal team and loan administration to manage loan execution and funding processes;
- Liaise with agency services on the distribution of compliance to the syndicate; and
- Ad hoc projects.
Required Qualifications:
- 6+ months of Investment Banking Program experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
- Capital markets and/or investment banking experience
- Bachelor's Degree with academic distinction and coursework in financial accounting and corporate finance
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Strong presentation and analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Ability to work effectively, as well as independently, in a team environment
- Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills
- Ability to manage a high-volume workload while maintaining excellence and consistency of work
- High level of personal motivation; does more than what is asked for and anticipates questions/issues
- Dedication to building a career in Investment Banking
- Ability to work collaboratively in a demanding, highly focused, deadline driven, fast paced team environment, with a sense of personal accountability and urgency for achieving results
Job Expectations:
- Registration FINRA Series 63 (or 66) must be completed within 90 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted.
- Registration for FINRA Series 79 must be completed within 90 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted.
- Registration for Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) exam must be completed within 90 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted.
- Ability to travel up to 5%
- Ability to work outside of regular business hours
Pay Range
Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.
$84,000.00 - $179,200.00
