Overview
Manage the development of the annual operating budget, budget policies, and internal control procedures for Skirball Operations. Analyze previous expenditure patterns and prepare budget projections and forecasts. Advise administrators on issues relating to budget and financial matters to ensure compliance with University guidelines and Skirball requirements. Maintain regular contact with senior management on all matters relating to Skirball's income and expenditures. Consult with key stakeholders in other business units to investigate and resolve financial charges and inquiries concerning purchase orders, invoices, and reimbursements. Contract and reconcile rental events for Skirball Operations.
Responsibilities
Required Education:
Bachelor's Degree Business, Finance, or related degree.
Required Experience:
5+ years experience managing and reconciling budgets and maintaining budgetary spreadsheets/databases or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Experience:
5+ years Financial experience in performing arts, hospitality, or theater operations.
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Excellent analytical, organization, interpersonal, and communication skills. Ability to interact effectively and professionally with a diverse population at all levels in a fast-paced and complex organization. Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and proficiency in spreadsheet and financial software packages. Strong attention to detail. Advanced excel and reporting skills. Strong financial acumen.
Qualifications
In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $95,000.00 to USD $115,000.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
