What will you be doing?

World Wide Technology, LLC has an opportunity available for a Cloud Developer to support our Government Services team. This position will focus on AWS Architecture and support within a customer’s environment. As a member of the Enterprise Engineering Team we provide the design, engineering support and Tier 3 support to improve data interoperability, integrity, and quality for systems and initiatives within the US Department of State enterprise. Capabilities Engineering Design is the phase between high-level concepts, strategies, and designs provided by the Government. We evaluate commercial and Government software, freeware, shareware, tools, techniques, processes, and standards to ensure that the customer requirements are met. We follow DevOps practices with an Agile approach. We leverage the services approved for Government use within the AWS cloud platform creating Infrastructure- as-a-Service (IaaS), Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS), and/or Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) capabilities.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Experience developing AWS IaC and CI/CD pipelines to support an Enterprise AWS cloud environment
• Ability to work independently or in a small team setting
• Knowledge of ICAM and ICAM processes such SAML, Oauth, and Federated Identities
• Knowledge of Government Cloud (AWS GovCloud etc.)
• Ability to manage multiple tasks independently, with minimum supervision, while still meeting deadlines
• Highly motivated, self-learner, and technically inquisitive
• Strong preference for applicants with experience or certification in Containerization technology
• Comprehensive understanding of AWS including AWS Command Line (CLI), current AWS product offerings and services, best practices and troubleshooting techniques, and experience providing systems administration and issue resolution for AWS
• Demonstrated proficiency with one or more scripting or programming languages
• Experience with designing, building, and maintaining Application Programming interfaces (APIs) and documentation using programming languages like Java, Python, Ruby.
• Experience understanding and defining API requirements
• Familiarity with MS SQL / MySQL development including data modeling, concurrency, stored procedure development and tuning
• Experience in API security and authentication ensuring the organization is compliant.
• Monitor and troubleshoots API performance as necessary.
• Solid understanding of basic networking principles, components and terminology. Experience with hardware or software Load Balancers, VPNs, firewalls preferred but not required.
