Job Title: C-17 Field Service Representative (ILHE) -Qatar Emiri Air Force
Position Overview
Boeing Global Services (BGS) is seeking a level 3 Field Service Representative to provide on-site C-17 company representation and technical support to the Qatar Emiri Air Force at Al Udeid Air Base, Qatar in conjunction with the C-17 Globemaster Integrated Sustainment Partnership (G3) contract.
Position Responsibilities:
- Utilize multi-disciplined technical expertise and company knowledge to assist the customer.
- Sustain a high level of proficiency in the maintenance and operation of company products by investigating technical problems and determining root causes.
- Develop and implement corrective actions to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Understand customer expectations, assist customer in interpreting and using support data and documents, and provide technical on-the-job training.
- Act as the on-site liaison between the company and customer personnel of widely varying backgrounds to gain resolution of significant technical and operational issues.
- Work unsupervised for extended periods of time in a wide variety of cultural/economic environments.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)
- Minimum 5 years of experience maintaining and troubleshooting C-17A aircraft
- Extensive knowledge/understanding of mechanical, environmental, avionics and flight control systems, and electrical/electronic systems
- Must be able to function in a demanding on-call, around the clock operational environment
- Travel to other operating locations to assist with operations, maintenance, and recovery of aircraft will be required
- Willing to work any shift
- Must be able to pass all immigration requirements for Qatar (medical, legal, security, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)
- Experience working in the Middle East with aerospace partners within the GCC
- Prefer candidates with proven experience maintaining and troubleshooting C-17 aircraft mechanical, electrical/electronic, environmental, and avionics systems
- Prefer previous military experience or extensive familiarity with military operations and written maintenance procedures
- Experience with C-17 field, or depot is preferred
- Middle East C-17 Experience is desired
- Extensive experience using maintenance data collection and analysis (formerly known as G081) is desired
- Extensive knowledge of C-17 Interactive Electronic Technical Manual (IETM) is desired
Relocation:
This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.
This requisition is for an international, locally hired position in Al-Udeid, Qatar. Benefits and pay are determined at the local level and are not part of Boeing U.S. based payroll and will be commensurate with experience and qualifications and in accordance with applicable Qatari law. Employment is subject to the candidate's ability to satisfy all Qatari labor and immigration formalities.
