POSITION SUMMARY:

• The Craftsman reports to the Craftsman Supervisor

• Located in Omaha, NE

• Full-Time

• In Office

The Craftsman is a key contributor to our woodworking team, responsible for producing high-quality cabinets and furniture from various materials, including wood, veneers, laminates, and more.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Machine Setup and Operation:

• Prepare and set up machinery and tooling for woodwork manufacturing.

• Operate woodworking machines, including saws, milling, and sanding machines.

• Ensure proper functioning of equipment, listening for unusual sounds or detecting excessive vibrations.

Material Handling:

• Lift wood pieces onto machines, utilizing hand techniques or hoists as needed.

• Utilize safe lifting practices to handle materials effectively.

Quality Control:

• Monitor production processes to ensure that products meet industry standards and project specifications.

• Make necessary adjustments to maintain quality and precision.

Tool Selection and Adjustment:

• Select and adjust cutting, milling, boring, and sanding tools to meet job requirements.

• Utilize hand tools to trim pieces or assemble products.

Technical Competency:

• Interpret detailed architectural drawings, schematics, shop drawings, and blueprints.

• Execute tasks with a strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Collaboration and Initiative:

• Collaborate effectively with team members to achieve production goals.

• Take initiative in problem-solving and process improvement.

Customer Focus:

• Demonstrate excellent sales and customer service attitude.

• Uphold a strong sense of ownership for the quality and craftsmanship of products.

Independence:

• Work independently on assigned tasks and projects, demonstrating self-motivation.

CNC Machine Operation:

• Experience with CNC machine operation is preferred.

COMPETENCIES:

• Proficient in interpreting architectural drawings, schematics, shop drawings, and blueprints.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.

• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with others.

• Demonstrated sense of ownership and accountability.

• Positive sales and customer service attitude.

• Proactive and able to take initiative.

• Comfortable working independently on tasks and projects.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

• 1 – 2 years of hands-on experience in woodworking, or equivalent military or practical experience.

• Preferred experience in CNC machine operation.

• Laminate experience is highly preferred

• Ability to successfully pass a background check post offer acceptance.

The range provided represents the national average pay range for this position and is considered to be a general guideline. Pay for this position will reflect the candidate’s unique qualifications and may be higher or lower than the range provided based on employee geographic location. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other local, state, and federal law.

In addition to base salary, this role will be eligible for participation in TriMark’s’ benefits programs, including medical, dental, vision, 401K (with employer match), etc. Leadership positions may also qualify for participation in bonus programs commensurate with role and scope of responsibility.
