Responsibilities

JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for knowing all aspects of the Converting department operation. Responsibilities including but not limited to, product quality, following all SOCs, operation of the equipment, core, bulk and packaging supply constancy. Must comply with all safety, quality, GMPs, productivity and cleanliness standards.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Responsible for working safely, cleanly and ethically. Follow all plant PPE requirements, safety rules and policies. Reports unsafe conditions to supervisor immediately.
  • Responsible for maintaining general area housekeeping and recording its completion in the daily cleaning logs.
  • Responsible for following all GMPs to assure food product safety.
  • Ensures adequate bulk and packaging is prepared and work station, performs finished roll quality testing and packaging meets Work Order requirements.
  • Basic knowledge and trouble shooting skills of multiple Converting machines, I.e. Drills, Perf's, Lever and Box Printer.
  • Ensure product quality and machine operation consistency is maintained throughout shift.
  • Trouble shooting skills for Fuji, Packman, or Retail.
  • Responsible for reading and understanding work order to meet product requirements.
  • Ability to make changeovers, getting production lines in operation, make machine adjustments to maintain customer specs.
  • Ensures all Non - Conforming product is segregated and identified.
  • Responsible for completing & supplying accurate production paperwork to Shift supervisor.
  • All other assignments, general and specific, as directed by Supervision.
Qualifications

EDUCATION/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

  • Ability to lift up to 80 pounds.
  • Experienced in several pieces of Converting equipment, materials, and process flow.
  • Ability to understand written and verbal instructions.
  • Ability to safely operate, maintain and perform minor adjustments on heavy equipment.
  • Ability to maintain effective working relationships with others.
