Unarmed Security Officer - Military Veterans

JOB SUMMARY :
Under direct supervision of the Unarmed Security Program Supervisor, unarmed security staff will perform duties that ensure the safety and security of the SLU community members by performing security duties at specifically assigned posts. The hours are third shift which are 10:30 pm to 6:30 am.
Hourly wage is $17.50 per hour and it will be full time position at 32.5 hours per week.
PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Control access to the building in compliance with policy and process.
- Monitor and report all conditions that create security or safety hazards for building occupants and guests. Assist in building occupants and guests as required while complying with established policies and processes.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES :
- Knowledge of security reporting and procedures
- Knowledge of general security functions and procedures.
- Ability to work assigned schedule.
- Ability to maintain honesty, integrity, confidentiality, and professional relationships.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
- Excellent Customer Service Skills.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :
- 1-2 years related experience.
- Position requires successful completion of drug screen.
- Must possess or be able to obtain and maintain an unarmed security officer license the Watchmens Division of St Louis County/City Police.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
- Possess or able to obtain upon hire an unarmed security/officer license with St. Louis City/County Police Private Security Division. Must maintain Licensure throughout the tenure of the position.
