Project Engineer / Scrum Master - Military Veterans

Coordinates planning, organization, control, integration and completion of engineering projects within area of assigned responsibility. Plans and formulates engineering program; reviews product design for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, customer contract requirements, and related specifications. Evaluates and approves design changes, specification and drawing releases. Coordinates activities concerned with technical developments, scheduling, and resolving engineering design and test problems.
This position is for a Scrum Master supporting multiple delivery teams on data transformation projects.
Key Responsibilities
Facilitate Scrum Ceremonies: Plan, coordinate, and facilitate Scrum ceremonies such as Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Sprint Review, and Sprint Retrospective.
Remove Impediments: Identify and remove obstacles that hinder the team's progress, and work with the team to find solutions to overcome them.
Coach the Team: Provide guidance and coaching to the team on Scrum principles, practices, and values, and help them to adopt and improve their Agile mindset.
Improve Processes: Continuously monitor and evaluate the team's processes and suggest improvements to optimize their workflow and increase productivity.
Communicate with Stakeholders: Act as a liaison between the Scrum team and stakeholders, ensuring that their needs and expectations are understood and addressed.
Maintain Scrum Artifacts: Ensure that Scrum artifacts such as the Product Backlog, Sprint Backlog, and Increment are up-to-date and accurate.
Facilitate Team Collaboration: Foster a collaborative environment within the team, encouraging open communication, active listening, and constructive feedback.
Skills and Qualifications
Certified Scrum Master (CSM) certification: or equivalent Agile certification
Proven experience: as a Scrum Master or in a similar role, with a strong understanding of Scrum principles and practices
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills: ability to effectively communicate with team members, stakeholders, and external parties
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills: ability to identify and resolve impediments and process issues
Adaptability and flexibility: ability to adapt to changing priorities and requirements
Coaching and mentoring skills: ability to guide and support team members in their Agile journey
Experience with Jira
