The Global Advertising and Brand Management (GABM) team is responsible for creating marketplace demand and driving commerce for American Express products and services through differentiated and innovative branding, marketing, and experiences. We have an ambitious goal: to be the most admired brand in the Fortune 500 and we aim to deliver on that by doing work that is both creative and effective. The Global Brand Strategy & Insights (GBSI) team sits within GABM. We are responsible for accelerating brand consideration globally by delivering robust insights, transformative brand strategies, and key capabilities for marketers across the organization.
We are seeking an Senior Analyst Product Development: Experiential Products to support innovation in this creative space by developing products and defining features that help to improve customer experiences, create engineering efficiencies, and result in actionable data for the business. In this role you will be working day to day with various stakeholders including engineering, internal marketing colleagues, and external partners, to enable best in class digital experiences in the fast-paced live events and entertainment space. The day-to-day responsibilities within include developing user-centric stories, attending daily scrums, feature development, and prioritization based on the needs of our customers and stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with defining new product features and requirements, UX, scope, and functionality for all live event platforms across entertainment, sports, music and experiential web property roadmap.
- Break down large features and requirements into manageable user-centric stories to support engineering deliveries.
- Help in prioritizing features within the product roadmap and lead the development team day to day.
- Attend daily standups and follow up on stories, including keeping up-to-date documentation in Jira, Confluence, etc. to reflect discovery.
- Work with internal stakeholders and external partners to provide information and/or gather requirements for potential internal or third-party platform integrations.
- Design mock-ups and wireframes to clearly define our work for compliance, engineering, and leadership.
- Liaise with creative agency, development team, and internal stakeholders to ensure the projects are on schedule (e.g. daily + weekly stand-up calls, reviews with teams).
- Obtain product feedback through observations and user interviews to help iterate and drive improvements in future releases.
- Maintain pulse on external and internal product developments to assess implications for our products.
- Provide reporting for unique and new data sets, being able to think creatively to define results.
Required Skills:
- Bachelor's Degree or 2 years of work experience.
- Curiosity and a desire to learn, utilizing that drive to find opportunities for innovation and create efficiencies.
- Quick learner of proprietary systems and processes.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and drive projects to completion.
- Creative thinker, who enjoys solving complicated and unique problems.
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills with the ability to speak both “tech” and “business” depending on the audience.
- Able to balance multiple priorities in dynamic environment.
- Knowledge of various tech concepts including web/mobile-based development, database schemas, data file formats (JSON, XML, CSS) a plus.
- Energetic team player with a passion for our customers.
- A passion for entertainment, music, sports and new technologies
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Experience launching tech products
- Experience in the tech and/or live events space
Salary Range: $60,000.00 to $110,000.00 annually + bonus + benefits
The above represents the expected salary range for this job requisition. Ultimately, in determining your pay, we’ll consider your location, experience, and other job-related factors.
