Wound Care Advanced Practice Nurse Specialist-PCS Nurse Practitioners Job Summary #CA-MM Leverages in depth knowledge of one or more clinical specialty areas to effectively manage highly complex care. This includes multidisciplinary collaboration that identifies and prioritizes nursing care needs for a population of patients and families. Develops, implements and evaluates new models of practice across the continuum of care. Leads the implementation of new policies and procedures across all nursing units. Collaborates with other clinical nurse specialists and health system leadership to lead change and develop evidence-based models of practice. Mentors excellence in patient care across a diversified patient population. Applies knowledge, experience and judgment to determine the importance of a situation, set priorities, and use abstract thought to evaluate clinical situations. Develops and implements evidence-based patient and staff education. Demonstrates leadership skills. Demonstrates accountability for own practices as defined by the Nurse Practice Act.
