Job Summary
Performs chemical analysis/laboratory testing of active pharmaceutical ingredients, in-process materials, finished products and stability materials per established methods. Responsible for Laboratory instrumentation set-up, troubleshooting, and routine maintenance. Supports work related to production, R&D, and NDA/ANDA filings.

Job Description

Responsibilities:

Interpret USP or other compendia methods.

Analyze raw materials, pharmaceutical ingredients, and finished products, including stability testing.

Conduct laboratory activities with limited supervision.

Maintain accurate record of all analyses performed, documenting test results in laboratory notebooks as required by GLP/cGMP.

Write, review, and/or update Standard Operating Procedures as assigned.

Evaluate new technologies, products, and materials as assigned by the Laboratory Manager, as well as other projects.

Conduct notebook review and ensure CofA's are submitted to the customer in a timely manner.

Assist in the training of junior Chemists.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Chemistry.

At least 5 years of experience in pharmaceutical laboratory analysis.

Advanced computer skills.

Experience in working through details of a problem, overcoming obstacles and reaching a positive and successful solution through mathematical or systematic operations.

Experience in processing all relevant details, understanding and prioritizing their importance and drawing clear and concise conclusions.

Experience with HPLC or GC>

Preferred Qualifications:

Master's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry or related discipline.

Previous experience in a Research and Development environment.

The anticipated salary range for this position:
$85,280.00 - $123,760.00 Annual

The actual salary will vary based on applicant's location, education, experience, skills, and abilities. This role is bonus and/or incentive eligible. Medline will not pay less than the applicable minimum wage or salary threshold.
