Position Overview

Power your future with Qualus in our Information Technology department as IT Help Desk. The primary function of this role is to provide technical and help desk support for incoming requests via telephone, email, and self-service portal inquiries from all Qualus offices and those who work in the field. Under leadership of the Manager of IT Support & Services, the IT Specialist supports Qualus on-site and remote users by diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, connectivity, performance, and operational problems in our IT infrastructure. This is a customer-facing role and the individual in this position must have a service-oriented approach when working with other facets of the organization that drive our highly successful business. This position may require after-hours work as determined by needs of the business.

Responsibilities

  • Manage Help Service Desk inquiries, updates, status and escalations using an online ticketing system and phone support.
  • Provide support for Windows 10 desktops, laptops, servers and network equipment
  • Escalate issues and acts as a liaison between users and appropriate upper tier support if unable to resolve problems or remove barriers to resolution
  • Assist with modifications/upgrades to systems, networks and infrastructure and be available for overtime as required to meet business needs
  • Identifies repetitive patterns of technical issues, resolution opportunities and communicates suggestions to leadership to increase organizational performance, efficiency, and effectiveness.
  • Support audio and video equipment in conference rooms and provide troubleshooting for remote staff.
  • Deliver world class customer service by positively engaging with each customer in a professional and friendly manner to ensure a consistent high degree of customer satisfaction
  • Assist with provisioning, imaging and configuration of new equipment when needed to be deployed to internal users
  • Assist with managing hardware and software inventory as requested
  • Assist with implementation and support of IT projects as needed
  • Provide troubleshooting of various technologies such as hardware, software, connectivity and mobile devices
  • Other duties as assigned
  • This position may require on-call nights and weekend coverage and emergency service response, as needed
Qualifications
  • 2-3 years of Help Desk experience.
  • Ticket resolution and management.
  • Knowledge of O365 support. (OneDrive, Exchange, SharePoint etc.)
  • MS Teams, Deltek a plus
  • 3rd party software support and tools like Ninja (preferred) SharePoint (preferred), Kaseya, ConnectWise, Intune, Powershell.
  • Windows 10 system and server administration.
  • O365 administration (Exchange, Skype, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive)
  • Remote access software and tools.
  • VPN's
  • Mobile phone support.
  • Antivirus software.
  • Demonstrated adaptability and flexibility in a fast-growing environment by being receptive to change
  • Strong organizational and planning skills
  • Ability to uphold confidentiality
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills, able to work effectively with all levels of the organization
  • Strong attention to customer service
  • Critical thinking skills and business acumen
