Field Service Engineer - Military Veterans

Our client, a world leader in explosion protection systems, is seeking a Field Service Engineer to join their team. This company specializes in detecting, suppressing, isolating, and venting potential combustible dust or vapor explosions in industrial processes.
As a Field Service Engineer, you will travel extensively to customer sites to install, commission, maintain, and troubleshoot life-saving explosion protection equipment. You will also provide technical support and educate the client to ensure proper system operation. A minimum of four months of training is provided.
Key responsibilities:
- Install, commission, and maintain explosion suppression systems
- Diagnose and resolve equipment malfunctions
- Accurately document performance data and service reports
- Educate clients on system operation and maintenance
- Ensure compliance with safety and industry standards
Qualifications and skills
- A strong background in electrical and mechanical systems
- Experience in fire protection/suppression systems (huge bonus; higher pay for relevant experience)
- Knowledge of ladder logic/PLC systems (a plus)
- Strong technical, mechanical, and troubleshooting skills
- Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused mentality
- Ability to work autonomously and manage time effectively
- Comfortable with extensive travel (80% regional and national; possible global travel)
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends
- Physically capable of climbing tall ladders, lifting up to 40 lbs., and working in industrial environments
Schedule:
- 10 days on / 4 days off schedule

Base salary, $75K - $95K: 5-10 hours of overtime per week; $0.70 per mile reimbursement, a 401(k) with 6% company match; 10 PTO days, 5 sick days. The company provides your tools, laptop, and a credit card.
