Housekeeper
We are seeking a diligent Housekeeper who will keep the Cape Fox Lodge looking its absolute best. Our ideal candidate has a keen eye for detail while handling vacuuming, dusting, mopping, and sweeping duties. Our staff at the Cape Fox Lodge prides itself on providing outstanding hospitality to our guests, and your housekeeping services are a significant part of this.
Duties Include:
- Carry linens, towels, toilet items, and cleaning supplies, using wheeled carts
- Clean rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, locker rooms and other work areas so that health standards are met
- Empty wastebaskets, empty and clean ashtrays, and transport other trash and waste to dispose of
- Replenish supplies such as drinking glasses, linens, writing supplies, and bathroom items
- Keep storage areas and carts well-stocked, clean, and tidy
- Dust and polish furniture and equipment; arrange and move furniture
- Sweep, scrub, wax, and/or polish floors, using brooms, mops, and/or powered scrubbing and waxing machines
- Clean rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and/or draperies, using vacuum cleaners and/or shampooers
- Wash windows, walls, ceilings, and woodwork, waxing and polishing as necessary
- Hang draperies, and dust window blinds
- Disinfect equipment and supplies, using germicides or steam-operated sterilizers
- Observe precautions required to protect hotel and guest property, and report damage, theft, and found articles to supervisors
- Sort, count, and mark clean linens, and store them in linen closets
- Deliver or replace items such as light bulbs, television sets, ironing boards, baby cribs, and rollaway beds to guests' rooms
- Perform all duties in the utmost ethical and reliable practices by remaining friendly, responsible, and keeping safety as a top priority

Requirements:
- Prior cleaning experience is preferred but not required
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Able to lift upwards of 25 pounds
- Physical stamina for being on your feet throughout shifts
- Ability to work with chemicals, dust, allergens, etc. without issue
- Must have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986.
