Screw machine operator needed for a client in the Mason area. This individual is responsible for operating and maintaining screw machines, which are used to manufacture metal parts and components.



  • Mechanical Aptitude: Understanding of how screw machines and related equipment work.

  • Attention to Detail: Ability to inspect parts for precision and quality.

  • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to troubleshoot equipment and process issues.

  • Experience: Prior experience operating CNC machines or screw machines is often preferred.

  • Mathematical Skills: Proficiency in measurements, interpreting blueprints, and making machine adjustments.

responsibilities:


Machine Setup:





  • Install and adjust tooling, chucks, and other equipment on screw machines.

  • Program or adjust machine settings based on the specific part being produced, ensuring accuracy in dimensions.


Operation:





  • Operate screw machines to produce metal parts, often in high-volume production environments.

  • Monitor machine performance to ensure it's running smoothly and producing parts to specification.


Inspection & Quality Control:





  • Inspect parts to ensure they meet quality standards using tools like micrometers, calipers, and gauges.

  • Perform routine checks and adjust settings to maintain precision and avoid defects.


Maintenance & Troubleshooting:





  • Perform regular maintenance on screw machines, including cleaning, lubricating, and replacing worn parts.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve any issues or malfunctions with the machines during operation.


Documentation:





  • Keep detailed records of production runs, machine settings, maintenance performed, and any issues encountered.

  • Ensure compliance with safety and operational standards.


Collaboration:





  • Work with other operators, supervisors, and engineers to optimize production processes.

  • Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work area.
