EDI and B2B Manager - Military Veterans

We are seeking a strategic and results-driven EDI and B2B Manager to lead initiatives that enhance EDI processes, drive ERP integration projects, and optimize invoice delivery and billing best practices. This role will involve presenting and assessing the ROI and value of initiatives to leadership, managing diverse teams across multiple levels and countries, and ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
The manager will develop and implement a comprehensive EDI strategy to support business initiatives, overseeing teams responsible for designing and developing EDI application interfaces and maps. This role will lead EDI projects, manage daily EDI operations, and define project scopes, deliverables, and schedules. The manager will allocate resources for testing and implementation, establish documentation standards, and create detailed flowcharts and written documentation for EDI designs, specifications, and protocols.
This position requires a hands-on leader capable of driving continuous improvement, fostering collaboration, and delivering measurable results.
Key Responsibilities
EDI Process Optimization:
- Evaluate and improve the existing EDI infrastructure to enhance efficiency, reliability, and scalability.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and customer requirements in EDI transactions.
- Identify and implement automation opportunities within the EDI workflow.
- Partner with finance, sales, and operations teams to align on invoice delivery and billing best practices.
- Monitor and resolve EDI-related billing discrepancies and errors.
- Develop and maintain KPIs for invoicing and billing efficiency.
- Present regular assessments of EDI and B2B initiatives to senior management, demonstrating ROI and operational impact.
- Develop business cases and financial justifications for new projects or process improvements.
- Use data-driven insights to recommend strategies that maximize value to the business and customers.
- Manage projects to establish direct connections between the company's ERP system and customer ERPs or interfaces.
- Oversee the design, implementation, and testing of integration solutions.
- Coordinate with IT teams, external partners, and customers to ensure seamless connectivity.
- Manage and mentor a diverse team of EDI analysts, developers, and project managers.
- Foster collaboration and knowledge sharing among team members across various locations.
- Provide guidance, training, and performance evaluations to ensure team success.
- Act as a liaison between IT, finance, operations, and customers to drive alignment on EDI and B2B initiatives.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify needs, define requirements, and deliver tailored solutions.
- Ensure timely communication of project progress, risks, and deliverables.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in EDI, ERP integrations, and B2B operations.
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in EDI, ERP integrations, and B2B operations.
- 5+ previous supervisory experience
- Proven track record of managing EDI process improvements and large-scale ERP integration projects.
- Experience leading and managing teams, including remote or international personnel.
- Strong understanding of EDI standards and protocols.
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems (e.g., OMEGA, Oracle Cloud, Oracle EBS, JDE, Microsoft Dynamics, Glovia).
- Excellent project management skills, with a focus on meeting deadlines and budgets.
- Strong analytical and financial acumen to assess ROI and project value.
- Exceptional leadership and communication skills to work with cross-functional teams and external partners.
- Familiarity with middleware tools like Boomi, and/or Amalto.
- Knowledge of supply chain operations, invoicing processes, and financial systems.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus
