Finance Product Manager - Military Veterans

This role reports to the Head of Finance Transformation and Data Management, supporting the Finance and Strategy product roadmap and backlog. Responsibilities include documenting and driving outcomes to align with the vision and strategy set by Finance and Strategy stakeholders. The position requires close collaboration with Finance and Strategy stakeholders, the CDAO Intake team, Segment Data Officer (SDO), Finance Transformation and Program Manager, and Financial Information Director.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Product Manager will establish the Product Roadmap by:
    • Defining and validating requirements (e.g., epics, stories, features, traditional requirements)
    • Identifying cross impacts
    • Proposing and verifying timelines for the roadmap
    • Identifying a desired priority for implementation

  • Product Manager will help define requirements by:
    • Organizing and planning requirement definition sessions or workshops
    • Ensuring teams clearly understand the true business need (vision and problem statement)
    • Consulting with the Product or others to provide business context

  • Product Manager will drive project execution by:
    • Collaborating with the appropriate stakeholders and teams on requirement definition and prioritization
    • Coordinating with Agile, waterfall, and value stream project management teams to ensure successful delivery
    • Facilitating UAT and ensuring quality assurance for requirement delivery

  • Product Manager will be responsible for:
    • Providing program oversight to ensure governance in each workstream or deliverable is properly applied
    • Establishing and overseeing a program tracking tool using Azure DevOps
    • Managing and recording necessary approvals
    • Creating new requirements in the appropriate tool
    • Ensuring work items are appropriately mapped to Parent/Child work items across tools
    • Submitting and maintaining a record of reviews/approvals
    • Maintaining work items in the appropriate tools to reflect the current state of work

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, IT, or Business
  • 8 or more years of experience leading data-related projects or programs and leading teams with direct management experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong business and technical acumen with the ability to identify and break down complex business problems and develop recommendations
  • Excellent customer and business focus, with strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to communicate complex information clearly and concisely, and to influence and negotiate on challenging projects
  • Ability to multi-task effectively, be a self-starter, deliver to deadlines, and handle stress with composure and professionalism
  • Experience working with a Finance team in the banking/financial services industry
  • Knowledgeable and experienced with Data Management and Governance policies, standards, metrics, controls, and processes
  • Familiarity with OFSAA, EPM, or Axiom
  • Business outcome-focused
  • Demonstrated perseverance

Compensation Range:

The compensation range represents the low and high end of the base compensation range for this position. Actual compensation will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance.  Colleagues in this position are also eligible to participate in an applicable incentive compensation plan.  In addition, Huntington provides a variety of benefits to colleagues, including health insurance coverage, wellness program, life and disability insurance, retirement savings plan, paid leave programs, paid holidays and paid time off (PTO).
