    Location: ONSITE - Ladson, SC (29456)


•    Duration: 9 – 11 months – estimated to end 12/31/2025 – (Contract extension potential) 


•    Type: W2 contract (Third-party or C2C "Corp-to-Corp" arrangements WILL NOT be considered for this role)


•    Pay: Negotiable depending on direct-related experience


•    Work Authorization: Must be currently in the United States with active employment authorization documents. Visa sponsorship is not available, now or in the near future, for this position.


•    Hours: Monday to Friday 8:00AM to 5:00PM





Summary


This contract role is under our Commitment to Quality Program. The Manufacturing Engineer– CtQ role is responsible for optimizing manufacturing processes and integrating them into SAP systems to drive efficiency, reduce waste, and ensure seamless production operations. This role will bridge a gap between manufacturing operations and IT systems, ensuring SAP modules effectively support our production environment.





Key Responsibilities- Commitment to Quality



  • Develop, implement, and maintain robust SAP systems and procedures with the highest quality standards following industry standards and regulations.



SAP Configuration & Support



  • Configure, test, and implement SAP modules related to manufacturing operations (e.g. SAP Materials Management, SAP production planning, and quality management)

  • Collaborate with IT and operations teams to ensure that SAP configurations meet manufacturing requirements.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve SAP-related issues affecting manufacturing processes and materials management, ensuring minimal disruptions to production.



Process Optimization & Engineering



  • Analyze current manufacturing processes to identify areas for improvement and develop innovative solutions to increase efficiency.

  • Lead initiatives aimed at reducing cycle times, improving throughout, and minimizing waste through process re-engineering and automation.

  • Implement lean manufacturing and six sigma methodologies to support continuous improvement.

  • Collaborate with IT, Planning, Supply Chain and production teams to optimize SAP processes and integrate SAP functionalities with daily manufacturing operations.

  • Provide technical support and training on SAP processes and best practices to manufacturing personnel.

  • Act as a liaison between engineering, IT, and production teams during systems upgrades, implementations and process change projects.



Data Analysis & Reporting



  • Use SAP data to monitor key manufacturing performance indicators and generate regular reports for management review.

  • Analyze production data to identify trends, root causes of issues, and opportunities for improvement.

  • Develop and maintain documentation, including configurations guidelines, standard operating procedures, and troubleshooting guides.



Continuous Improvement



  • Participate in cross-functional teams aimed at improving material management, manufacturing systems and processes

  • Supports management continuous improvement activities, including root cause problem solving.






Qualifications & Skills 



  • Proficiency in SAP configuration and troubleshooting

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret production data and generate actionable insights.

  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team.

  • Excellent problem solving and critical thinking skills.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the capability to work collaboratively across different teams.



Experience:



  • 3+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering role with a strong focus on SAP configurations and integration

  • Proven hands-on experience with SAP, particularly with configurations and data analysis

  • SAP Certifications are a plus
