Cleared Software Engineer and Scrum Master - Military Veterans

Virtual Service Operations is actively seeking a talented individual with an active TS/SCI with CI Poly clearance to join our team as a Computer Software Engineer and Scrum Master to design, develop, and implement software solutions that leverage modern technologies while applying Agile and Scrum methodologies to ensure efficient and high-quality software delivery. This individual will also serve as a Scrum Master when needed. 

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain software applications using modern programming languages and frameworks.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features. 
  • Apply Agile and Scrum best practices to drive efficient development cycles. 
  • Serve as a Scrum Master when needed, facilitating daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives. 
  • Ensure software solutions are scalable, secure, and optimized for performance. 
  • Perform code reviews and provide technical guidance to junior developers. 
  • Integrate software solutions with cloud platforms, databases, and third-party APIs. 
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and enhance existing software applications. Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry best practices. 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in software development and engineering.
  • Proven experience in software development with proficiency in one or more modern programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, C#, JavaScript).
  • Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies and hands-on experience with Scrum frameworks.
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM, PSM, or equivalent).
  • Experience with cloud computing (AWS or Azure Cloud).
  • Proficiency in modern development tools, CI/CD pipelines, and version control systems (Git).
  • Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and microservices architecture is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a collaborative team environment. 

Requirements

  • Must possess an active TS/SCI with CI Poly clearance
  • Must be within driving distance of Richardson, Texas, or willing to relocate to the area (Relocation Assistance Package Available)
  • Please note that pursuant to a government contract, this specific position requires U.S. citizenship status
  • Must be willing to work onsite
