Salary range $ 110k - $125k
What You'll Do:
- Maintain awareness of the latest pattern construction technology for incorporation into the design and specification of patterns under repair or construction.
- Update pattern facilities and accommodate new processes to improve productivity.
- Requisition pattern and tooling work with complete specifications so that sources know what is required and expected.
- Track sample castings, initiating corrections and adjustments required in a timely manner.
- Develop cost and quality effective pattern and tooling sources, follow the work being done by the sources, and authorize payment for work completed within the purchase agreement.
- Communicate with customers and the Sales Department on the status of pattern and tooling work.
- Develop and maintain current pattern and tooling specifications.
Attend Sample, Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), and design review meetings. - Drive team performance by setting clear goals, fostering collaboration, motivating team members, making informed decisions, providing effective communication, and holding themselves and others accountable for achieving desired outcomes.
- Select and train employees in pattern shop operations.
- Evaluate work performance, counsel and coach employees to maintain safe and efficient work performance.
- Maintain open communication with employees and work with them to mutually resolve problems to enhance moral and promote a union-free environment.
- Maintain conformance with Company policies, work rules and regulations.
Coach employees and/or initiate disciplinary actions as required. - Maintain communications with other shifts and departments to promote efficient operations.
- Personal attendance record should remain in compliance with company guidelines.
- Wear PPR as required.
- Participate in area continuous improvement efforts including employee involvement activities.
