Inventory Control Supervisor - Allentown (Ruppsville Road) - Military Veterans

We are seeking a dynamic leader to manage and guide a team of 12+ employees at our busy mega site. In this role, you'll be working closely with operational leaders to address daily challenges and develop effective solutions. Strong inventory management experience and proven leadership skills are essential to succeed in this position.

Supervise team members responsible for compiling records and managing data involved with ordering, receiving, storing, issuing, and shipping products for the facility. Work closely with Operations and Quality managers on inventory processes and improvements.

Job Title: Inventory Control Supervisor

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise, mentor, and provide performance feedback to a team of direct reports, ensuring optimal productivity, efficiency, and effectiveness in daily operations.
  • Prepare and analyze daily production and shipping reports, providing actionable insights for continuous improvement.
  • Lead and coordinate physical inventory audits, including cycle counts, to maintain inventory accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
  • Develop and enforce inventory control procedures that ensure the accurate tracking and management of stock levels.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external customers regarding inventory needs, product recalls, and any inventory-related concerns.
  • Regularly review inventory reports to identify unused items and recommend actions for surplus, obsolete, or damaged stock.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate current inventory systems and controls, providing recommendations for enhancements to improve overall inventory management efficiency.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in Inventory Control, Supervisory/Leadership capacity, preferably in a warehouse or distribution environment.
  • Hands-on experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) to streamline inventory operations.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities with excellent attention to detail to identify and resolve inventory-related issues effectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and intermediate computer skills to manage reporting and analysis.
  • Basic math skills, with the ability to calculate inventory adjustments and stock levels accurately.
  • Ability to work in varying temperatures, ranging from -20°F / -25°C in cold storage environments to 100°F / 37°C in dry storage sites, while utilizing company-issued personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Ability to lift and carry a minimum of 40 lbs. (weight may vary based on the facility and job requirements).
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends, based on operational needs.
  • Comfortable working in environments with fluctuating noise levels, which can be loud at times.
