NYU Grossman School of Medicine, an affiliate of Woodhull Medical Center, is seeking an experienced, full-time Director of Consultation Liaison (CL) Psychiatry. The Director of CL Psychiatry will be responsible for leading the overall operations of the CL services at the Woodhull campus, including all inpatient CL activities.The Director will be responsible for ensuring that the CL service provides the highest quality clinical care to psychiatric patients on the medical/surgical services at Woodhull. The Director will also be responsible for ensuring and monitoring the integration of CL services into the general Woodhull and HHC services and maintaining liaison activities and relationships with other medical services. Additional responsibilities include regulatory preparedness, and adherence to the standards of various certifying agencies as well as working with hospital and health system leadership to optimize and improve care for all patients in behavioral health.The successful candidate will provide oversight of the day-to-day general operations, ensuring the provision of excellent and evidenced based care as evidenced by quantitative and qualitative measures, Collaboration and oversight of medical staff, ensuring compliance with all regulatory (JC,CMS,OMH, OASAS) standards, leading the development and refinement of policies and procedures and development and execution of Performance Improvement Initiatives.
Qualifications:

  • Board certified- eligible for New York State Medical License
  • Minimum 5 years of clinical administrative experience
  • Must possess highly collaborative and proactive approach, and demonstrate commitment to high quality, cost-effective health care
  • Superior clinical, diagnostic, interpersonal/communication and team-building skills.

Salary range offered for this role is- $300k-$330k
