Job Type: Support Staff - Union Bargaining Unit: Local 32 BJ Regular/Temporary: Regular End Date if Temporary: Hours Per Week: 40 Standard Work Schedule: Thursday - Monday, 1:00pm - 10:00pm Building: Salary Range: $21.58 - $21.58 The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. Position Summary SCHEDULE: Thursday- Monday 1:00pm - 10:00pm Under general direction, the Porter is responsible for the cleanliness and maintenance of Columbia Universityapartment buildings and grounds area. Responsibilities Cleaning and maintenance of building and grounds complex: elevators, stairways, corridors, windows, floors, laundry rooms. Trimming trees and shrubs, and lawn maintenance. Sweeps and hoses sidewalks. Removes snow and spreads salt as needed. Heavy lifting may be required. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma and/or equivalent. Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of building and grounds maintenance a plus.
