The SHC Allergist provides direct clinical care and consultation to students in the field of allergy and immunology. The Allergist also provides oversight of immunotherapy services for student in the unit, not limited to review of outside immunotherapy schedules, diagnostic testing, sera preparation, and monitoring for outcomes, working closely with unit nurses to provide safe and high-quality services. The Allergist may also provide other consultation in areas of expertise, including working across units and with other SHC colleagues. This is a part time role, 3 days/week minimum (whole 7 hr days or mix of half days and full days). Responsibilities Required Education: Medical Doctor (M.D.) Board Certified in Allergy and Immunology (MD/DO) Required Experience: 2+ years direct patient care in AI field (outpatient/ambulatory) Preferred Experience: Travel Medicine Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills. Ability to be flexible and adaptable to meet clients needs. Knowledge of patient education techniques and principles. Expert knowledge in field Qualifications In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $195,000.00 to USD $235,000.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
