The Senior IR Technologist is a CRT/ARRT Technologist who maintains an ARRT sponsored VIR Certification within 1 year of reclassification. This individual must also be certified and demonstrate competency in performing injection procedures necessary for IR for a minimum of three - five years. This Technologist must demonstrate the ability to perform IR exams in both the inpatient and outpatient environment, be able to work safely in an acute care setting and be able to interact accordingly with anesthesia and other patient care departments that visit the IR environment. Additionally, the Senior IR Technologist must participate with the training of students and new hires when necessary. The Senior IR Technologist advanced responsibilities can include, yet are not limited to the following: Demonstrate competency actively and participate in the lead/coordinator role. Active participation in an annual performance improvement project or active participation in IR Quality Assurance/Radiation Safety meetings. Demonstrate competency and the ability to instruct one or more of the advanced procedures. This position requires the individual to be flexible in their work schedule. This individual is considered an advanced-level IR Tech. The ability to self-direct and to organize a varied workload is required. This incumbent demonstrates competency in assisting with VIR, Neuro Endovascular procedures and Vascular Surgery procedures from newborn thru geriatric patient population. The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy. Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement. The salary range for this position is $71.17 - $88.53 (Hourly Rate).
