The Department of Radiology at the University of Washington is recruiting for one full-time (100% FTE) faculty position at the level of Research Associate Professor or Research Professor, commensurate with experience, with an anticipated, but flexible, start date of June 1, 2025. This recruitment is for a non-tenured faculty position. Research Associate Professors and Research Professors are eligible for multi-year appointments that align with a 12-month service period (July 1-June 30). Faculty with 12-month service periods are paid for 11 months of service over a 12-month period (July-June), meaning the equivalent of one month is available for paid time off.

The targeted area of recruitment is for a new research faculty member of the Image-Guided Bio-Molecular Intervention Laboratory. The guiding principles incorporate cath-lab-based, image-guided, minimally-invasive interventions with molecular-cellular imaging. This emerging field is opening new avenues to prevention, early diagnosis, and effective treatment of diseases through interventional radiology.

The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the mission of the Image-Guided Bio-Molecular Intervention Laboratory and to develop and maintain an independently funded research program. This position will also be expected to support teaching, research, and administrative missions in the Department of Radiology, and the UW School of Medicine. All faculty engage in teaching, research, and service.

The base salary range for this position will be: $9,660 - $22,083 per month ($115,920 - $264,996 annually) commensurate with experience and qualifications, or as mandated by a U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage determination.
