Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Operations Manager for Metals Fabrication (Level K) to join our dynamic Fabrication team in Hazelwood, Missouri.

Position Responsibilities:

• Manages employees performing activities in multiple manufacturing disciplines.
  (In either a Fabrication-Style or Assembly-Style environment)

• Develops and executes business plans, policies and procedures and develops organizational and technical strategies.

• Acquires resources, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements.

• Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.

• Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.

• Manages, develops and motivates employees.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An Interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• High School diploma or GED.

• 3+ year of experience leading teams in a formal and/or informal leadership role.

• 3+ year of experience with team building, developing and motivating employees.

• 3+ years of experience in a Fabrication environment (Automotive, Food Products, etc).

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• Hands-on experience as a Tooling, Assembly, or Process Mechanic.
  (Applicable experience in other trades may be considered as well)

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related discipline

• Experience within BDS Fabrication / Assembly

• Previous knowledge / experience with LEAN (9 Tactics, 8 Wastes, 7 Flows, 5S, etc)

Relocation:

Travel:

Position may require travel up to 5% of the time.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range: $96,900 – $131,000
