Shifts Available:
1st: 7am-3pm - all down days will be 12-hour shifts, 7am-7pm. This position will be required to cover 2nd and 3rd shift for absences and vacancies.
2nd: 3pm-11pm
3rd: 11pm-7am
Wednesdays are down days and will be a 12-hour shift
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for PLC programming, troubleshooting, and maintaining efficient operation of various drives as well as calibrating instrumentation controls throughout the manufacturing production lines.
- Responsibility to provide support to plant staff engineers in all projects in the areas of design, installation, documentation, and training, and additional employees with various projects.
- Implement smaller projects as requested from maintenance work orders, the process and safety teams, along with departmental suggestions.
- Understand the statistical process control (SPC), know the product line and manufacturing standards, follow verbal and written instructions.

- 2+ Years' Experience with PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) Required
- 2+ Years' Experience with VFD (variable frequency drive) Required
- 2+ Years' Experience with HMI (Human-Machine Interface) Required
- Possess the ability to proficiently operate powered hand tools
- Understand and follow proper LOTO procedures. Use proper LOTO Try Out when working on equipment.
- Must understand Arc Flash and the theory associated with it
- Demonstrate the ability to utilize math in fraction, decimals, and know the metric measuring system
- Must understand basic computer skills and ability to use a CMMS system.
- Must be able to read electrical schematics and drawings to be proficient with making changes using current electrical symbols
- Demonstrate and understand a stop/start circuit and NO/NC
- Ability to troubleshoot air/gas combustion systems
- Must be able to start up equipment according to the Standard Operating Procedure
- Possess the ability to replace a 3-phase AC motor verifying correct rotation without Supervision
- Ability to troubleshoot AC/DC drives and motors up to 480V
- Ability to perform preventative electrical maintenance
- Ability to bend and install various types of conduit
- Ability to pull and terminate various types of wire
- Demonstrate proficiency and safety in the operation of electrical test equipment (MMM and Amp Meters)
- Demonstrate the ability to troubleshoot blown fuses, photo eyes, relays, breakers, etc.
- Demonstrate the ability to safely troubleshoot and/or reset the plant drives and servo panels
- Demonstrate the ability to install varying voltages of transformers
- Demonstrate the understanding of control voltage and Remote I/O
- Demonstrate the ability to perform basic PLC troubleshooting
- Able to lead a team of electricians in troubleshooting and project work
- Ability to work while wearing a respirator
- Able to work independently or with a team.
- Must be able to work 8 to 12 hours on his/her feet, lift 50 lbs. on a repeated basis over a normal workday, and climb ladders safely
- Preferred knowledge to operate scissor lift, man lift, bobcat, and forklift
- Maintain 5S of work area and equipment.
- Fill in for an absent or vacationing employee in the same role
- Perform administrative duties when necessary
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
- Position requires a minimum of an associate degree in a technical field, and/or requisite maintenance experience that lends itself to a working knowledge of machines, their operation and spare parts needed.
- Must demonstrate core competencies of effective communications, listening, and have strong organizational skills.
- Must understand purchasing procedures and MRO parts distribution, be computer literate, and have the knowledge of computerized maintenance systems, or possess the ability to learn.
- Must be comfortable with physical aspects of the plant's environment; i.e., working with various byproducts of raw materials used in the operation.
- Minimum time requirements of 1-year Electrician II and 12 months free of any written disciplinary (requirement for bid job procedure)
- In order to abide by certain OSHA and local government agency regulations, mandatory safety training, protective gear, and chemical handling procedures are required.
