Logistics Engineer (Senior) - Military Veterans

Amentum is now hiring a Logistics Engineer (Senior) position in support of Product Manager Force Protection Systems (PM FPS) and Product Manager Ground Sensors (PM GS) at locations both CONUS and OCONUS. This project will provide PM FPS and PM GS a multitude of product support activities to include spares, warehousing/kitting management, maintenance, transportation, shipping, fielding, equipment operator training, contractor equipment operators, field support representatives (FSRs), systems sustainment and design engineering, and supplier or total asset visibility management of Integrated Base Defense (IBD) and Force Protection (FP) family of systems (FOS).
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assure that consumer goods and services are being distributed in a way that is most efficient and profitable, applying scientific and mathematical principles to process the distribution of consumer goods and services.
- Provide logistics technology for effective and efficient support of products, equipment, system manufacturing, or services.
- Review contractual commitments, customer specifications, or related information to determine logistics or support requirements, such as facility details, staffing needs, and safety or maintenance plans.
- Design and analyze the logistics processes and operational solutions used in distributing those goods and services; identify and evaluate the effectiveness of all aspects of methods of distribution with the goal of improving operational efficiency, which would result in higher profits for the company; advise management on logistics topics; and propose logistics solutions.
- Develop the most streamlined, efficient method of product distribution possible.
- Assess the environmental impact or energy efficiency of logistics activities, evaluate logistics methods to reduce environmental impact, analyze environmental regulations, and determine requirements to ensure organizational compliance.
- Handle inventory, process orders, plan warehouse layouts, and help design product packaging to maximize shipping efficiency.
- May direct the work of Logistics Analysts
- Translate user requirements and design data into hardware, software, and performance criteria and life cycle support methodologies.
- Perform system, equipment and software functional and performance analyses, and define engineering support functions.
- Ensure quality throughout the project life cycle.
- Establish systems and equipment logistic support requirements, including standards for acceptance, functional adequacy, adherence to the design criteria and to applicable maintenance standards.
- Conduct review of program documentation to assure compliance with standards and requirements and adherence to program goals.

Required Qualifications:
- Must have a Bachelor's Degree in Logistics.
- Must have a minimum of 8 years compiling and optimizing logistics and maintenance information. At least 5 of these years spent using Army logistics databases and solutions. Experience with the procurement, maintenance and transportation of miliary supplies/materiel, facilities, and personnel. Will accept 2 years of additional relevant experience in lieu of degree.
- Must have an Active SECRET US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to maintain a SECRET Clearance.
