Deputy Program Manager - Military Veterans

Amentum is now hiring a Deputy Program Manager (OCONUS Lead) position in support of Product Manager Force Protection Systems (PM FPS) and Product Manager Ground Sensors (PM GS) at locations both CONUS and OCONUS. This project will provide PM FPS and PM GS a multitude of product support activities to include spares, warehousing/kitting management, maintenance, transportation, shipping, fielding, equipment operator training, contractor equipment operators, field support representatives (FSRs), systems sustainment and design engineering, and supplier or total asset visibility management of Integrated Base Defense (IBD) and Force Protection (FP) family of systems (FOS).

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Direct and provide leadership to contractor and sub-contractor teams working with local, State, or Federal government programs in accordance with existing procedures, applicable laws, and government requirements.
  • Apply government warehousing systems and processes to their daily duties.
  • Apply warehousing terminology, measures, concepts and principles.
  • Ensure that all associated administrative procedures are current and audit ready.
  • Maintain an accurate physical inventory and quality control.
  • Interface with appropriate personnel or management to resolve systems and operations issues.
  • Direct, administer, and evaluate programs, policies, and procedures in the required program areas.
  • Lead a group of employees in carrying out a government program, administering and carrying out program requirements and activities, and assures compliance program activities with laws and regulations.
  • Ensure the effective management of the assigned program areas.
  • Maintain auditable records of received and issued items, shortages, damaged or non-conformances issues, record maintenance data and warranties necessary for documenting the material control processes.
  • Ensure goods are properly stored, secured, protected, and maintained according to manufacturers and government standards as required to preserve warranties and protect against damage and loss.
  • Maintain records of on-hand inventory, perform cycle counts and otherwise verify the accuracy of physical inventory.
  • Prepare warehouse requests; remove goods from storage for authorized consumption and utilization; bag, tag, and otherwise prepare goods for issuance; make the goods available at the point and time of need.
  • Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested.

Required Qualifications:
  • Must have a bachelor's degree in business management, business administration, or related field.
  • Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) certification in functional area: Life Cycle Logistics at the Advanced Practitioner level or a non-DoD equivalent certification in Acquisition Logistics or military/industry experience in logistics management with a focus on logistics operations similar in level of effort.
  • Must have a minimum of five years (5) years' experience managing warehousing distribution operations. A minimum of five (5) years' experience within the last five (5) years of Army Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems to include, Logistics Modernization Program (LMP), Catalog Ordering Logistics Tracking System (COLTS), Defense Priorities & Allocations System (DPAS), Army Enterprise Systems Integration Program (AESIP), Rapid Aerostat Initial Deployment Contractor Logistics System (RAID CLS) Experience in compliance with Federal, State and Department of Defense (DoD) and local warehousing and material handling and shipping requirements. Experience in conducting inventory in accordance with current US Army policies. Will accept 2 years of additional relevant experience in lieu of degree.
  • Experience in compliance with Federal, State and Department of Defense (DoD) and local warehousing and material handling and shipping requirements.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage global logistics and sustainment operations.
  • Knowledge of the Army Acquisition Process for End Items and procurement of repair parts.
  • Knowledge of Army Training Management and Training Development in accordance with United States Army Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC) Regulations.
  • Experience in warehouse operations: inventory management; shipping and receiving; transportation of real property both CONUS and OCONUS.
  • Experience in equipment management transfers between organizations and thereafter, property management operations and systems e.g. Global Combat Support System Army (GCSS-A).
  • Must have an Active SECRET US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to maintain a SECRET Clearance.
