Assistant Store Manager - Military Veterans

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a background in the equipment rental industry, with mechanical experience and a passion for customer service. This is a leadership role that will require multitasking, team collaboration, and ensuring the smooth daily operations of the business.

Must-Haves:

Excellent Customer Service Skills
Experience in the Equipment Rentals industry is a plus; mechanical experience is a must
Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record
Past Management Experience (3-5 years)

Responsibilities:

Assist customers with equipment rentals, prepare contracts, and handle payments (cash, credit, deposits).
Maintain organized contract files and manage item reservations.
Recommend products based on customer needs and handle phone inquiries.
Maintain a clean, stocked showroom and assist with inventory checks.
Help with loading/unloading equipment and provide safety demonstrations.
Resolve customer issues and report any safety concerns.
Adhere to company policies and participate in store meetings.
Perform additional tasks as assigned.
Customer Service:

Provide excellent service in person and over the phone.
Process transactions accurately, including payments and credits.

Working Conditions:

Stand for long periods, primarily indoors, but occasional outdoor work during summer months.
Regular interaction with customers and occasional exposure to chemicals (e.g., gasoline, propane).
Qualifications:

Valid Driver's License with a clean record
High school diploma or GED preferred
Able to lift up to 70 lbs and maintain a professional appearance
Strong customer service and sales skills; basic math proficiency
Clear communication skills; multilingual skills are a plus
Must pass a drug screening and maintain reliable attendance
Cooperative team player with patience and a customer-focused attitude
