Lead Demand Planner - Military Veterans

As

a Lead Demand Planner at Honeywell UOP, you will play a pivotal role in

developing and executing demand planning strategies to ensure accurate

forecasting and optimal demand management. You will collaborate with a planning

and business stakeholders, provide guidance in all aspects of demand planning

activities, and connect with cross-functional teams to analyze data, market

trends, and customer insights. Your expertise will be crucial in monitoring

demand patterns, adjusting forecasts to meet customer demands, and optimizing

inventory levels. Additionally, you will identify and implement process

improvements to enhance efficiency, ensuring seamless alignment between demand

plans and supply chain operations.

You will report directly to the UOP ISC Planning Director and you'll work out

of our Rosemont, IL location on a hybrid work schedule.

In this role, you will impact the efficiency and effectiveness of our demand

planning operations, contributing to the overall success of our business unit.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Formulate and implement robust demand planning strategies to ensure accurate

    forecasting and effective demand management.
  • Continuously assess and refine strategies in response to market dynamics and

    business requirements.
  • Provide guidance and support to the team, fostering a collaborative and

    high-performance culture.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze data, market

    trends, and customer insights.
  • Utilize input from various departments to enhance demand forecasting

    accuracy.
  • Monitor and analyze demand patterns, adjusting forecasts as necessary to meet

    customer demands and optimize inventory levels.
  • Create, maintain, and analyze demand plan for a global deals-based, product

    business model.
  • Conduct formal forecast reviews with business counterparts to analyze,

    measure, and improve forecast accuracy.
  • Drive demand planning Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and STRAP processes.
  • Track KPIs and publish performance to multiple internal and external

    stakeholders.
  • Present demand forecast to leadership at monthly meetings.
  • Partner with SIOP process team and supply planners to facilitate maximum

    customer satisfaction, stakeholder satisfaction, and financial performance.

YOU MUST HAVE

  • 6+ years of planning, materials, sourcing, or other related supply chain

    experience.
  • Experience managing complex data analysis.
  • Strong knowledge of demand planning principles, methodologies, and tools.
  • Familiarity with demand planning software and systems.
  • Advanced MS Office skills with proficiency in Excel.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or Supply

    Chain/Logistics/Engineering
  • Experience managing demand planning for a deals-based business
  • Experience with SAP ERP systems.
  • Experience with a Demand Planning tool (e.g., RapidResponse, SAP APO module, Forecast Pro).
  • APICS, CPIM, CPSM, or CPF certification preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to efficiently multi-task, prioritize, and delegate.
  • Ability

    to collaborate with both internal and external customers.
