Position Summary:
The Analyst II, Associate Degree Nursing (ADN) Retention is responsible for designing and executing retention strategies to enhance student success. This role involves working closely with faculty and students to identify at-risk individuals and provide support aimed at improving retention rates. The position ensures compliance with the Texas Board of Nursing (BON) regulations while helping ADN students transition from prerequisite courses to successful completion of the program.
Job Functions:
Collect and analyze student data to identify at-risk ADN students and monitor retention trends
Develop and implement targeted intervention programs for students struggling academically or personally
Provide academic advising, mentoring, and support to nursing students, addressing barriers to their academic success
Work with ADN faculty to develop and integrate retention initiatives across the curriculum
Track student progress, offering adjustments to support plans and interventions as needed
Conduct interviews with departing students to understand reasons for withdrawal and gather feedback for improvement
Compile reports on student retention metrics and effectiveness of implemented strategies
Assist students in preparing for the NCLEX-RN examination through structured guidance
Ensure all student retention efforts adhere to Texas BON regulations and requirements
Responsible for other reasonable, related duties as assigned
Salary: Hiring salary range is $58,625-$67,419
Required:
Master's degree in Nursing and at least 5 years of experience
Experience must include at least 3 years of clinical nursing experience
Experience must include at least 2 years of teaching experience in an ADN program in Texas
