Job Title: Plant and Warehouse Support - Cotton Seed Processing

Location: Bapchule, AZ 85121

Job Type: Full-Time, Contract (1-Year Contract)

Hourly Rate: $20 per hour

Qualifications:

Contracting labor needed to support cotton seed processing operations.
Must pass a background check and medical clearance that includes Cotton Dust, Full Face Respirator, Hearing, Vision, MEO, and a physical exam (bending, flexing, lifting).
Work Hours:
Current shift: 5:00 AM - 5:30 PM (1st Shift)
Scaling to 2 shifts: 5:30 PM - 5:30 AM (2nd Shift)
Monday to Friday, with Saturday work as needed.
Must be available for overtime and able to train on 1st shift for 4-6 weeks or as needed depending on 2nd shift start.
1-year contract position with potential for extension.
The manager will not conduct interviews for this role. Offers will be extended by requesting a screening, which you will need to accept or decline upon notification.
Responsibilities:

This position is key in supporting the day-to-day operations of the plant and warehouse. You will assist in managing the overall process from seed treatment to packaging, focusing on accuracy and operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities include:

Seed Count, Bagging, and Treatment:

Assist in day-to-day seed count, bagging, and treatment operations.
Operate and manage automatic seed sampling equipment to pull accurate samples from each lot.
Ensure proper seed count for packaging and obtaining QA samples.
Packaging and Inventory:

Track and maintain seed weight, bag weights, and bag inventory.
Monitor packaging appearance (printing on bags, placards, barcoding, wrapping, etc.).
Assist in the inventory count and carryover blending process by seed count.
Equipment Maintenance:

Conduct general repairs to bag placers, baggers, treaters, and palletizers during the season and shutdown periods.
Participate in cleaning of treating and bagging areas for variety changes.
Quality Control:

Monitor the treatment process for application accuracy.
Report issues related to incorrect seed counts or packaging appearance and take corrective action.
Safety & Housekeeping:

Follow all OSHA rules and regulations to ensure safety compliance.
Maintain good housekeeping practices in all areas of the plant and warehouse.
Required Skills/Competencies:

Strong mechanical abilities and experience with equipment repairs.
Ability to work well in a team environment.
Ability to stack bags and handle 50lb bags if needed.
Strong communication skills.
Attention to detail and accuracy.
