JOB SUMMARY
The Cybersecurity Business Developer will be responsible for identifying potential clients in need of cybersecurity solutions for building control systems, presenting and promoting tailored cybersecurity services to clients, negotiating contracts and agreements, and maintaining strong relationships with clients to ensure customer satisfaction and retention. This role is responsible for staying informed about industry trends, regulations, and best practices in building control system cybersecurity to effectively advise clients on the most suitable solutions. This role may involve collaborating with cybersecurity specialists or analysts to address specific client needs and provide comprehensive cybersecurity solutions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Building and maintaining relationships with customers to drive sales.
- Actively seeking out new sales opportunities through cold calling, networking, and social media.
- Presenting, promoting, and selling products or services to potential customers.
- Achieving agreed-upon sales targets and outcomes within schedule.
- Coordinating sales efforts with team members and other departments.
- Keeping abreast of best practices and promotional trends.
- Providing feedback on market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities.
- Resolving customer complaints and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Participating in trade shows, conferences, and events to represent the company.
- Additional duties as needed.
- 5+ years of commercial real estate building control solutions sales experience is required
- 10+ years of experience in the building controls industry
- 10+ years' related experience in Business Development or related positions
- Experience in building control system design/implementation/commissioning
- Experience with the primary building control system manufacturers
- Basic understanding of building control system cybersecurity best practices
- Ability to travel up to 40%
- US Citizenship Required
- Strong negotiation skills
- Interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to analyze complex situations and develop associated action plans to achieve team objectives
- Proven client management skills with large and complex accounts
- Accountability for driving revenue through client satisfaction and expansion
- Proven ability to meet and exceed client retention targets
- Demonstrated post-sales client support experience
- Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Business/Marketing/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience
- At a minimum, certification with at least one of the primary building control system manufacturers
This position can be 100% remote, if the prospective employee is in the United States.
COMPENSATION
The salary range for this position is $104,000-$200,000. This will be dependent on the experience and expertise of the incoming candidate.
