Leidos is searching for a highly motivated Cyber Security Architect to support the USDA’s Digital Infrastructure Services Center’s cloud modernization efforts, ensuring the protection of data and infrastructure. The Cyber Security Architect must have a background in supporting government customers and systems throughout various stages of their cloud journey. The candidate must demonstrate breadth and depth in cloud technologies and environments, assessment and authorization, and National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) 800-53 controls. The candidate will have a strong IT security background.
Primary Responsibilities:
Collaborate with USDA Digital Infrastructure Services Center (DISC) customer to develop measures and implement tools to protect data, applications, and infrastructure stored in the cloud.
Design, implement and manage encryption, network security, threat detection and response.
Ensure cyber solutions are flexible and scalable, aligning with the organization’s cloud changes.
Ensure solutions meet performance, security, compliance standards, and industry best practices.
Support DISC Assessment and Authorization efforts
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including system engineers, developers, and program management, to ensure cybersecurity is integrated throughout the system development life cycle.
Provide technical expertise and guidance to government stakeholders to address cybersecurity challenges and align solutions with mission goals.
Manage and identify technical risks and opportunities, resolution and verification of effectiveness of corrective actions.
Support technical proposal response as needed.
Engage and build relationships with senior USDA cyber stakeholders.

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field with 12+ years of prior relevant experience
Relevant certifications such as CISSP, Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), or GIAC Security Expert (GSE)
Ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance
10+ years of experience in cybersecurity architecture, with proven expertise in designing secure systems for complex environments
Experience implementing advanced cybersecurity measures for cloud and hybrid environments
Demonstrated knowledge of RMF processes
Thorough knowledge of DoD security policies and frameworks, including NIST 800-53 and DISA STIGs
Extensive knowledge of cloud security, compliance, and governance
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science
Additional certifications in enterprise architecture (e.g., TOGAF) or cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) are advantageous.

Pay Range:
Pay Range $126,100.00 - $227,950.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
