Manager Airline Strategic Programs - Military Veterans

In this role, you will work as a strategic lead for the FedEx Airline domain and oversee a team of strategists to provide thought leadership and push business leaders to identify out-of-the-box opportunities that drive initiative progress and value. You will take new ideas from concept to execution, leveraging multiple sources of data to develop strategic recommendations, project managing large initiatives, and successfully communicating (both written and verbally) with stakeholders and executives. You will play a vital role in defining and advancing the organization's strategies and initiatives to deliver value, ensuring that the right level of rigor and visibility is provided for desired outcomes. You will collaborate closely with executive leadership and cross-functional teams to brainstorm solutions and influence business decisions using a fact-based approach.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:  


•    Provide expert knowledge on FedEx airline operations, including but not limited to network planning, aircraft maintenance and technical operations, fleet management, crew scheduling, and flight safety to improve efficiency and profitability.
•    Identify and engage all relevant stakeholders, including internal teams, clients, vendors, and executives.
•    Maintain transparent and effective communication with stakeholders and executives.
•    Provide guidance and support to team members, fostering their development and growth within the team; address conflicts to maintain alignment and productivity.
•    Ensure confidentiality of privileged or sensitive content, leading change efforts as needed.
•    Assist teams with growth and a flexibility mindset by implementing change management processes to handle project changes systematically and minimize disruption when needed. 
•    Identify potential risks early and create mitigation strategies to help prevent project setbacks.

Performs other duties as assigned.
 


Minimum Education:

Bachelor’s degree in business administration, economics, supply chain management/logistics, or a related discipline.

Minimum Experience:

8 years of experience in business operations, transportation, logistics or related fields, with leadership experience.

Knowledge Skills:

  • Expert communication and presentation skills, quantitative, problem structuring, and solving skills.
  • Strong executive presence, human relations, networking, leadership, and influencing skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and oversee multiple projects and initiatives from end-to-end (ideation and scoping through execution) to deliver maximum business outcomes.
  • Employ entrepreneurial mindset: ability to make strategic decisions and defend the strategic decisions you make without guidance
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Pay Transparency: This compensation range is provided as a reasonable estimate of the current starting salary range for this role across all potential locations. If this opportunity includes multiple job levels, the range is a reasonable estimate of the current starting salary for the lowest level to the current starting salary of the highest level. Actual starting pay would be determined by experience relative to the job, market level, pay at the location for this job and other job-related factors permitted by law. An employee may be eligible for additional pay, premiums, or bonus potential. The Company offers eligible employees health, vision and dental insurance, retirement, and tuition reimbursement.

Pay: $9719.96 - $16523.93 Monthly
