PATIENT SERVICES COORDINATOR II (DOTHAN) - Military Veterans

Job Description

The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) is seeking a PATIENT SERVICES COORDINATOR II located in DOTHAN, ALABAMA to pleasantly greet patients upon entering the UAB School of Dentistry Dothan clinic. Responsible for coordinating and/or administering certain clinical and patient services and for performing administrative duties in support of physician staff and operations. Responsible for the conduct of patient scheduling. Coordinates outpatient scheduling and facilitates in-patient pre-certification and admitting processes as necessary. Serves as an advocate for patient and patient family assisting patients and patient families with obtaining services and assistance available within the Dothan community. Answers patient and patient family inquiries verbally or in writing. Assists in resolving patient problems. Follows up with patients and patient families regarding post-treatment/post-operative status. May supervise clerical staff. Responsibilities: Greet and check in patients. Answer phone calls to the clinic. Make and confirm patient appointments. Provide administrative support for the UAB School of Dentistry satellite dental clinic in Dothan. Responsible for maintaining quality assurance for the clinic including patient satisfaction. Review patient documents and insurance benefits.

(Hourly Rate: $16.00 - $26.00)

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a related field and one (1) year of related experience required. OR AN EQUIVALENT COMBINATION OF RELEVANT EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE.
